The Public Sector Equality Duty
As a school, we have a legal duty under the Equality Act 2010 to:
- Eliminate discrimination and other conduct prohibited by the Equality Act.
- Advance equality of opportunity between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not.
- Foster good relations between people from different backgrounds and with different protected characteristics.
How We Promote Equality
We promote equality by preventing discrimination, removing barriers to participation and achievement, and helping pupils understand and respect different beliefs, backgrounds and experiences.

We work to remove barriers and make sure every pupil has the opportunity to participate, achieve and feel represented within school life.
This includes improving accessibility, supporting pupils with additional needs and ensuring children see a diverse range of people, experiences and backgrounds reflected throughout our curriculum.
Fostering Good Relations
We want everyone at All Saints’ to feel that their beliefs, backgrounds and experiences are understood and respected.
Our BRAVE curriculum plays an important part in helping pupils learn about different religions, beliefs and cultures.
Listening to Our School Community
We regularly seek the views of pupils, parents and staff through surveys and consultations organised by the school and governors.
